Premier League champions Manchester City reportedly place a £60m price tag on central defender Aymeric Laporte.

Premier League champions Manchester City have reportedly placed a £60m price tag on central defender Aymeric Laporte.

The 27-year-old moved to the Etihad Stadium from Athletic Bilbao in January 2018 when City activated his £57m release clause.

Laporte had been a first-team regular under Pep Guardiola until last season, when the Spain international lost his place to John Stones, and as a result he is now considering a departure from the Etihad Stadium.

According to the Daily Mail, City will consider the sale of Laporte if they receive an offer worth at least £60m.

Juventus and Real Madrid are understood to have shown interest in the centre-back, though both clubs would struggle to finance a deal at City's valuation.

The potential sale of Laporte could help towards City's pursuit of Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane, who is valued at around £150m by the club's chairman Daniel Levy.

Laporte has made 111 appearances across all competitions for the Citizens and has won 10 trophies, including three Premier League titles.
