Tottenham Hotspur team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Leicester City

Sports Mole rounds up Tottenham Hotspur's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash with Leicester City.

Tottenham Hotspur could rise into the top four of the Premier League table - for a couple of hours at least - when they travel to meet Leicester City on Saturday afternoon.

With Antonio Conte absent following gallbladder surgery, Cristian Stellini led the Lilywhites to a 1-0 win over champions Manchester City last Sunday thanks to Harry Kane's record-breaking 267th goal for the club.

Tottenham's fifth-placed standing was not impacted by that victory, but a win over Leicester would send Conte's men into the top four over Newcastle United, who kick off against Bournemouth a couple of hours later.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Tottenham's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their clash with Brendan Rodgers's men, who occupy 14th place in the rankings.

Hugo Lloris

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Captain and first-choice goalkeeper Hugo Lloris damaged ligaments in his knee towards the end of Spurs' win over Man City, and the Frenchman is now facing six to eight weeks on the sidelines.

Pape Sarr

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Hip
Possible return date: February 11 (vs. Leicester)

Pape Sarr has now missed Tottenham's last three games in all competitions due to a hip problem, but there is a chance that the Senegal youngster could return for Saturday's contest.

Lucas Moura

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Tendon
Possible return date: February 11 (vs. Leicester)

Lucas Moura has now recovered from a troublesome tendon problem, but he did not take part against Man City as he built up his fitness with the youth team, and it remains to be seen if he will be given the green light to return to senior action here.

Yves Bissouma

Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: Unknown

Tottenham announced on Thursday that Yves Bissouma would undergo surgery to repair a stress fracture in his left ankle, and the midfielder is out for an unspecified amount of time.

TOTTENHAM'S SUSPENSION LIST

Cristian Romero

Return date: February 14 (vs. AC Milan)

Cristian Romero was sent off late on against Man City for two bookable offences, and the Argentina centre-back will serve his one-game ban here before returning in Tuesday's Champions League last-16 first leg with AC Milan.
