Tottenham Hotspur head coach Mauricio Pochettino says that he has been happy with Moussa Sissoko's attitude in training, despite his previous comments about the midfielder.

Tottenham Hotspur head coach Mauricio Pochettino has said that he has been left happy with Moussa Sissoko's "answer" in training this week.

Earlier this week, Pochettino suggested that his summer signing was not meeting expectations at White Hart Lane after the French international was left out of the squad to play Chelsea.

However, ahead of the clash with Swansea City on Saturday, Pochettino has revealed that Sissoko has trained "very hard" in the build-up to the Premier League fixture in North London.

The 44-year-old told reporters: "His answer was good in the week, I am happy with the answer from him. He is training very hard then it's up to me to decide whether he is involved or not.

"It's not because I wasn't happy, he's the same and we believe that it was better to have [Georges-Kevin] N'Koudou or Josh Onomah on the bench rather than him but it was a football position. I am happy.

"His attitude this week was very good, he trained very hard but it's not a big issue for me. All the players need to understand that we are 24 and I am the boss, I am the manager."

Sissoko has made just five starts and five substitute appearances since his £30m switch from Newcastle United.
