Goals from Adam Jahn and Chris Wondolowski secured a comeback victory for San Jose Earthquakes over Toronto.

The hosts almost got off to the perfect start when Wondolowski's looping header nearly crept into the net, but Joe Bendik made a good save to keep the ball out.

This save was to be crucial as Toronto took the lead through Justin Braun as he latched on to a flick-on in the penalty area and volleyed the ball into the bottom corner in the 16th minute.

After the break, San Jose were level immediately as the ball fell to Jahn in the area and he beat the challenge of Logan Emory before firing past Bendik.

The hosts should have been ahead minutes later when Walter Martinez was played in but he lost his composure at the final second and fired the ball wide of the target.

Wondolowski almost gave San Jose the lead when he collected the ball on the edge of the area and fired a snap shot at goal which went inches past the post.

However, the striker was not to be denied again as he turned the ball in from close range after Martinez had flicked it on from a Marvin Chavez corner, sealing the win for his side.
