Rafael Benitez: 'BBC are exceptional'

Real Madrid boss Rafael Benitez claims that his first-choice front three of Karim Benzema, Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo are "exceptional".

Real Madrid boss Rafael Benitez has said that his preferred front three of Karim Benzema, Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo are "exceptional".

Injury has prevented the trio from playing together on many occasions this season, but they all started and scored in the 4-1 win over Getafe at the weekend.

Benitez says that his other attacking players cannot be overlooked, but has paid tribute to the 'BBC'.

"I think it's unfair to the other players of our attack who have played this season with us to say [the 'BBC'] are the best," Benitez told reporters.

"Clearly our [trident] is exceptional, but they haven't played much together this season. Hopefully by the end of the season they'll have had more games like the one against Getafe."

Real Madrid will round off their Champions League Group A campaign at home to Malmo on Tuesday.
