How Barcelona could line up against Real Madrid

Sports Mole looks at how Barcelona could line up in Saturday's La Liga clash with Real Madrid.

Barcelona will be looking to return to winning ways in La Liga when they welcome bitter rivals Real Madrid to Camp Nou on Saturday afternoon.

The Catalan giants suffered a 1-0 loss to Getafe in the league last weekend, with the result leaving them in ninth position in the table with seven points from their four matches.

Ronald Koeman's side will enter this match off the back of an impressive result, though, having beaten Ferencvaros 5-1 in their Champions League opener on Tuesday night.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how Barca could line up against Madrid this weekend.

Barca will again be without number one goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen due to a knee injury, meaning that the team's second-choice stopper Neto will retain his position between the sticks.

Samuel Umtiti is also out with ongoing knee problems, but Jordi Alba trained alongside his teammates on Thursday as he looks to overcome the hamstring issue that he picked up against Sevilla before the international break.

There have been suggestions that Alba could come into the XI this weekend, but it seems more likely that the Spaniard will be named on the bench if he is included in the squad as Koeman will not want to take any chances ahead of next week's Champions League clash with Juventus.

As a result, Sergino Dest could again get the nod at left-back, while there is expected to be a change in midfield with Sergio Busquets coming in for Miralem Pjanic to start alongside Frenkie de Jong.

Ansu Fati, Philippe Coutinho and Lionel Messi will all start in attack, but the spot on the right is up for grabs with Antoine Griezmann struggling for form this season.

Trincao impressed against Ferencvaros in the Champions League last time out, and the fact that the Portuguese was replaced in the 63rd minute of the contest suggests that he could earn another start here.

Ousmane Dembele, who scored off the bench against Ferencvaros, is also an option if Koeman decides against starting Griezmann, but it could well be Trincao's position to lose.
