Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti tells of the importance of his side's win in their Copa del Rey semi-final clash against Atletico Madrid.

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has told of the importance of his side's win in their Copa del Rey semi-final clash against Atletico Madrid tonight.

The Spanish giants already had a 3-0 lead from their first leg to take into the game, with Cristiano Ronaldo adding the gloss to their progression into the final by scoring two goals on Tuesday night.

"The advantage gained from the first leg helped to determine this evening's match," said Ancelotti after the game.

"This is an important trophy for us. Now we are in the final and that was an important objective. The Copa del Rey is important here and all teams have done their best to try to reach the final."

Madrid currently find themselves in second spot in La Liga.
