Half-Time Report: Paris Saint-Germain being held by Bordeaux

Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain and visiting Bordeaux enter the break goalless after 45 minutes of action at the Parc des Princes.

Paris Saint-Germain have yet to find the breakthrough against Bordeaux at the Parc des Princes tonight, as they look to move six points clear at the top of the table.

New £20m signing Yohan Cabaye was named on the bench for the Ligue 1 champions, who came close to opening the scoring as early as the second minute.

A corner dropped to Lucas Moura in the box, but the Brazilian international could not shift the ball from underneath his feet and was eventually crowded out by Bordeaux bodies as he tried to poke goalwards.

Chances were then few and far between for Laurent Blanc's side, with Lucas blazing over from long range and also wasting a possible opportunity for Edinson Cavani when he opted to go it alone, unsuccessfully in the end, with the unmarked Uruguayan striker waiting for a square pass.

Bordeaux offered very little going forward and while PSG were the more dangerous of two below-par sides, they could not break the deadlock prior to the interval as both Maxwell and Zlatan Ibrahimovic swiped wildly from close range in a goalmouth scramble which somehow failed to yield a goal.
