Preview: Preston North End vs. Nottingham Forest

Sports Mole looks ahead to the FA Cup fourth-round replay between Preston North End and Nottingham Forest at Deepdale.

Preston North End made the trip to the City Ground just under a fortnight ago to take on a Nottingham Forest side that had not lost any of their previous 10 matches.

However, the League One visitors were able to force a fourth-round FA Cup replay with a 0-0 draw against their Championship hosts.

Forest boss Billy Davies named a strong lineup for that clash, and he is expected to continue with that mindset for the replay at Deepdale on Wednesday evening.

He will be without the injured Dexter Blackstock and Chris Cohen, but the likes of Darius Henderson, Andy Reid and Simon Cox could all start.

As for Preston boss Simon Grayson, he will have to make do without the services of loanee Craig Davies due to the fact that the attacker turned out for Bolton Wanderers earlier in the competition.

The recent meetings between the two clubs do not favour Preston, who have won just one of their last seven fixtures against Forest.

Recent form

Preston: LWDDDW

Forest: WDWDWW

Possible starting lineups

Preston: Rudd; Wiseman, Buchanan, Kilkenny, Clarke; Wright, Holmes, Welsh, Hume; Garner, Gallagher

Forest: Darlow; Jara, Collins, Lascelles, Harding; Reid, Lansbury, Mackie, Paterson; Henderson, Cox

Sports Mole says: 1-2
