Newcastle United midfielder Sylvain Marveaux is reportedly wanted by French club Nantes.

Ligue 1 side Nantes are reportedly keen to sign Newcastle United midfielder Sylvain Marveaux.

The 27-year-old has struggled to establish himself ever since he arrived at St James' Park in the summer of 2011 from Rennes.

As a result, he has been informed by manager Alan Pardew that he can leave the club, which has alerted Nantes, according to the Daily Mail.

The report added that the Magpies would accept a bid in the region of £2m for the former French youth international.
