Half-Time Report: Newcastle United and Norwich City goalless

Norwich and Newcastle enter the break at Carrow Road goalless after an uneventful 45 minutes in East Anglia.

Norwich City and Newcastle United have played out an uneventful 45 minutes at Carrow Road this afternoon.

Both sides entered the game out of form with Norwich having lost their last four Premier League matches.

Newcastle themselves had only won one out of their last six top-flight games but did appear more likely to break the deadlock.

Both Papiss Cisse and Gabriel Obertan forced decent saves from Mark Bunn, who was returning to the Canaries XI after being rested for the FA Cup victory over Peterborough United last weekend.

Lone Norwich striker Simeon Jackson had little service to thrive on, so Chris Hughton may look to captain Grant Holt, who is fit enough to be named on the home bench.
