Former Cardiff City, Celtic midfielder Joe Ledley in line for Australia move?

Former Cardiff City and Celtic midfielder Joe Ledley is reportedly close to signing for Australian side Newcastle Jets.

Newcastle Jets are reportedly on the brink of announcing the signing of Wales international Joe Ledley.

Although the 33-year-old has recently spent time at Charlton Athletic, the midfielder did not feature for the Addicks after making his debut on December 7.

That soon resulted in the veteran becoming a free agent, putting him in a position where he could link up with a new team outside of the designated transfer windows.

According to the Newcastle Herald, Ledley will be making the switch to Australia to sign for A-League outfit Newcastle Jets.

Ledley's compatriot Carl Robinson has just been appointed as the club's new boss on a long-term contract.

Should a deal be finalised, the left-footed player will also be linking up with Irish pair Wes Hoolahan and Roy O'Donovan.
