Montpellier with late equaliser

Montpellier grab a last minute equaliser against Nantes in Ligue 1.

Montpellier HSC have secured a late draw against Nantes in Ligue 1 with a last-minute goal.

Remy Cabella had two chances for the home side in the first 10 minutes, but was unable to beat Remy Riou in the Nantes goal.

Daniel Congre also missed a decent chance and Montpellier soon found themselves behind when Filip Djordjevic found the bottom corner just after 20 minutes.

Again Cabella was a threat, but determined defending from Nantes kept him out.

After that a frustrating period of play ensued for the home supporters, with Montpellier unable to find a way through.

Souleymane Camara did attempt a shot from inside the box but his finishing was wayward.

Jordan Veretout squandered a chance to extend Nantes's lead and Camara then missed a similar opening after being set up by Benjamin Stambouli.

Djordjevic was next to try his luck, but this time his finishing failed him as he hit a shot over the crossbar.

Abdelhamid El Kaoutari then had a late header saved, but Montpellier found their equaliser when Djamel Bakar fired home.
