Metz slump to Guingamp defeat

Metz fail to win for their 13th game in a row in Ligue 1 as they lose 2-0 at home to Guingamp.

Metz have extended their winless run to 13 games in Ligue 1 with a 2-0 defeat at home to Guingamp.

The visitors took the lead on 26 minutes when Christophe Mandanne stooped to head in Jeremy Pied's cross at the near post.

Pied then got on the scoresheet himself six minutes before the break as he took advantage of a defensive error to fire into the bottom corner from 20 yards.

The result has pushed Guingamp up to eighth place in the table, while Metz remain at the bottom of the standings.
