Axel Tuanzebe fires warning to Manchester United youngsters

Axel Tuanzebe encourages Manchester United's academy players to carefully consider their options before going out on loan to another club.

Manchester United defender Axel Tuanzebe has hinted that there is not always value in going out on loan to another club.

Tuanzebe enjoyed an excellent campaign at Aston Villa last season, making 30 appearances in all competitions and helping the West Midlands outfit earn promotion to the Premier League.

However, the 22-year-old has encouraged United's academy players and recent graduates to consider their options before committing to spending time elsewhere.

Speaking to club's official website, Tuanzebe said: "Everyone has their own individual paths, depending on how much they want it, how hard they work, so it all depends on the individual.

"I think sticking to the club tradition, ethos, mentality, energy it helps all the same because you can always identify an academy player from someone that has been brought in.

"If you look at someone like Timbo (Timothy Fosu-Mensah) he played a couple of games then went on loan. It just depends on where you are at. Managers, changes of systems, and what best suits you and how you best suit the team.

"Young players need to know that not everyone is going to make it into the first team, so you shouldn't be disheartened but there is another pathway where you could go to another club and excel over there."

Injury has restricted Tuanzebe to just 10 outings for United in all competitions during the current campaign.
