Ole Gunnar Solskjaer impressed by Odion Ighalo attitude

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has reportedly been impressed by the impact Odion Ighalo's attitude has had on the rest of his squad.

Ighalo was a surprise deadline day signing for United, joining on loan from Chinese Super League side Shanghai Shenhua.

The 30-year-old has since scored four goals in eight appearances for the Red Devils, prompting reports that the 20-time English champions could look to make his move permanent when the transfer window reopens.

The Evening Standard claims that Solskjaer has been particularly impressed with the impact Ighalo has made off the pitch, with his attitude making a clear difference in the dressing room.

However, Shanghai Shenhua are keen to keep Ighalo at the club and have reportedly tabled a mammoth £400,000-a-week contract offer for the Nigeria international.

Ighalo's loan deal at Old Trafford expires at the end of next month, meaning that United will need to agree an extension or make the move permanent if they are to keep him until the end of the coronavirus-affected season.
