Chelsea chief Petr Cech admits that he does not know if the Blues will be able to offer new contracts to their soon-to-be free agents this summer.

Chelsea legend and current technical and performance advisor Petr Cech has admitted that he does not know whether the club will be able to retain their soon-to-be free agents this summer.

The Blues have been banned from conducting transfer business or offering players new contracts as part of sanctions on Roman Abramovich following Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

Antonio Rudiger, Cesar Azpilicueta and Andreas Christensen's deals at Stamford Bridge are all set to expire at the end of the season, and Cech does not know what the future could hold for the trio.

Speaking to Sky Sports News, the former goalkeeper said: "That is something we do not know at the moment, and that is why the conversations are going on.

"We would like to know these answers as soon as possible so we know how we can operate with the team going forward. Unfortunately, as I already said, we go day by day and need to, at the moment, listen to the advice given to us by the government."

Christensen is already thought to have agreed a summer move to Barcelona, while Rudiger has been linked with moves to the likes of Real Madrid, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain.
