Fulham reach an agreement with Manchester United over the signing of Brazil international Andreas Pereira, according to a report.

Fulham have reportedly reached an agreement with Manchester United over the signing of Andreas Pereira.

The attacker has returned to the Red Devils following a loan spell at Flamengo, contributing eight goals and three assists in 52 appearances for the Brazilian outfit following a successful spell.

Flamengo had been working to sign the 26-year-old on a permanent basis, but talk of interest from Fulham has gathered pace in recent days, with the Cottagers preparing for life back in the Premier League.

According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, a deal for the attacker has now been agreed, with Fulham set to pay £10m plus a further £3m in add-ons in order to secure his signature.

Romano claims that Pereira is in line for a three-year deal at Craven Cottage, with the option of another season.

The Brazil international joined Man United from PSV Eindhoven in 2011, eventually making his first-team debut for the 20-time English champions in 2014.

Pereira has spent time out on loan with Granada, Valencia, Lazio and Flamengo in recent years, but he has still made 75 appearances for the Red Devils in all competitions, contributing four goals and five assists in the process.

The attacker's most productive campaign at Old Trafford came during the 2019-20 season, when he made 40 appearances in all competitions, but Bruno Fernandes's arrival at the club played a leading role in him struggling for action from that point forward.

There had been suggestions that Pereira would be involved in Man United's upcoming pre-season tour of Thailand and Australia, with the club's new head coach Erik ten Hag preparing to give him a chance at the club.

However, according to Romano, a full agreement has now been reached for the attacker to move to Fulham, with Marco Silva's side potentially making an official announcement before the end of the week.

Fulham won last season's Championship to secure a return to the top flight for the 2022-23 campaign, and they recently made their first signing of the summer, bringing in Joao Palhinha from Sporting Lisbon.

A recent report also claimed that Silva's side were interested in signing Man United centre-back Eric Bailly on loan for the 2022-23 season with the view to a permanent move.

However, it is believed that Bailly is keen to remain at Old Trafford to fight for a starting role under new head coach Ten Hag despite seemingly being down the pecking order.

Fulham are working towards their Premier League opener at home to Liverpool on August 6, while they will also take on Wolverhampton Wanderers, Brentford, Arsenal and Brighton & Hove Albion in the first month of the campaign.
