Robert Lewandowski has confirmed that he intends to stay at Barcelona and has no plans on leaving the club this summer.

The 35-year-old joined the Catalan giants for a reported €45m in July 2022 following a hugely successful and goal-laden eight-year spell at Bayern Munich.

Lewandowski impressed in his debut campaign at Camp Nou and scored 33 goals in 46 games, at least 23 goals more than any of his teammates, to help Barcelona win the La Liga title and Supercopa de Espana in 2022-23.

The Poland international has since netted 23 times in 44 appearances across all competitions this term, including a hat-trick in Barca's 4-2 home win over Valencia in La Liga on Monday, taking his top-flight goal tally to 16 in 30 matches.

Leeds, Stoke 'join Sheffield United in goalkeeper race'

Leeds United and Stoke City have reportedly joined Sheffield United in the race for Rotherham United goalkeeper Viktor Johansson.

The 25-year-old has been a standout performer at the AESSEAL New York Stadium this season despite the Millers failing to retain their Championship status.

Under a mixture of Matt Taylor, Leam Richardson and Steve Evans, Rotherham have earned the title of whipping boys in the division, winning only four of their 45 league fixtures so far.

Therefore, the Millers sit rock bottom of the second-tier standings, 24 points behind Neil Dewsnip's Plymouth Argyle in the relative safety of 21st heading into the final weekend of action.

Liverpool have reportedly identified a player who could be relegated from the Premier League this season as a potential transfer target.

The Merseyside giants have spent the past three months trying to secure a replacement for Jurgen Klopp, who is departing his role as manager.

As it stands, it appears highly likely that Feyenoord boss Arne Slot will soon be confirmed as his successor with a compensation package having been finalised between the clubs.

Slot's first task, should he arrive at Anfield, will be to determine whether the likes of Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah intend on remaining on Merseyside when their contracts are due to expire in 2025.

Man United 'draw up three-man shortlist of Rashford replacements'

Manchester United have reportedly identified three potential replacements for Marcus Rashford.

In sharp contrast to the best individual campaign of his career during 2022-23, the England international has failed to make a sustained impact this season.

Just eight goals and five assists have come from 40 appearances in all competitions, a large chunk of his outings coming from either flank.

Last week, head coach Erik ten Hag publicly supported the long-serving attacker, saying that he deserves the support of the fans in a bid to get him back to his best form.

Premier League midfielder 'desperate to re-join Leeds this summer'

Leeds United are reportedly being courted by a Premier League midfielder ahead of the summer transfer window.

Daniel Farke's side are currently attempting to ensure that their absence from the top flight only lasts one year as they bid to secure promotion.

As it stands, the Yorkshire giants are sitting second in the Championship standings, albeit level on points with Ipswich Town who have a game in hand.

Victory for the Tractor Boys against Coventry City on Tuesday evening would put Kieran McKenna's side on the brink of automatic promotion and leave Leeds facing the prospect of the playoffs.
