Team News: Wayne Rooney leads line for unchanged Manchester United against Club Brugge

Wayne Rooney leads the line for Manchester United in an unchanged starting XI ahead of their Champions League playoff first leg against Club Brugge at Old Trafford.

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has kept faith in the starting XI that beat Aston Villa at the weekend ahead of their Champions League playoff first leg against Club Brugge.

Wayne Rooney, who has been under fire over his form in recent weeks, once again leads the line for the Red Devils, while attacking trio Adnan Januzaj, Memphis Depay and Juan Mata will be looking to build on last weekend's narrow 1-0 victory at Villa Park.

Meanwhile the Belgian giants make four changes, with Dion Cools, Oscar Duarte, Boli Bolingoli-Mbombo and Abdoulay Diaby replacing Davy De Fauw, Claudemir, Hans Vanaken and Obbi Oulare.

Brugge beat Greek side Panathinaikos to reach the playoff round, but have not played in the group stages of the competition since the 2005-06 season.
