Rafael da Silva has admitted that the goal that he scored against Queens Park Rangers earlier today was the best of his Manchester United career to date.

The Brazilian full-back opened the scoring at Loftus Road by sending the ball into the top corner of Julio Cesar's net from 25 yards out to give his side a half-time advantage.

Despite the fact that he had scored four goals for the club prior to today, the 22-year-old has insisted that he cannot recall a better effort than his strike against R's.

"I can't remember scoring a better goal," he told MUTV. "The one at Liverpool was different because it was a curling shot, but I can't remember a better one than this. I think it's my best.

"I just saw the ball coming towards me and hit it as hard as I could. You can feel by the way you hit the ball that it's going in. I just hoped it wouldn't deflect off anyone. It was a good goal."

United went on to win the encounter 2-0.
