Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Manchester United could line up for Thursday's Europa League clash with Barcelona.

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has received no fewer than three suspension boosts ahead of Thursday's Europa League knockout round playoff second leg with Barcelona at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils came away from Camp Nou with a 2-2 draw in last week's first leg, where Lisandro Martinez and Marcel Sabitzer were both forced to miss out due to continental bans.

However, the duo are available to Ten Hag once again here, as is Casemiro, who completed the third and final game of his three-match domestic ban against Leicester City at the weekend.

The duo of Antony and Harry Maguire are also in with chances of recovering from their injuries in time for the second leg, but Anthony Martial, Christian Eriksen and Donny van de Beek remain unavailable.

Having equalled Peter Schmeichel's record of 180 clean sheets for Man United at the weekend, David de Gea - who played another blinder against Leicester - could post a club-high 181st shutout this week as he starts in goal.

Victor Lindelof and Martinez started in front of De Gea on Sunday, but Raphael Varane is now poised to replace the former, while Aaron Wan-Bissaka could also displace Diogo Dalot as Luke Shaw continues on the left.

Casemiro and Sabitzer ought to partner up in the engine room, while Bruno Fernandes created a whopping nine chances in the win over Leicester and will captain the side in the attacking third.

Jadon Sancho replaced Alejandro Garnacho at half time on Sunday and is expected to return to the first XI here following his goal against Leicester, prior to which Marcus Rashford took his tally to 24 for the season with another brace.

The 25-year-old may be shifted across to the left-hand side for the second leg, as Wout Weghorst's brief stint as a number 10 against Leicester did not bear fruit, so the Dutchman could spearhead the attack here.

Manchester United possible starting lineup: De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Varane, Martinez, Shaw; Casemiro, Sabitzer; Sancho, Fernandes, Rashford; Weghorst
