Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola insists that Sergio Aguero is in "perfect" condition and is fit enough to face Leicester City on Saturday.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has insisted that Sergio Aguero is in peak condition despite falling ill while on international duty with Argentina earlier this week.

The 29-year-old was taken to hospital on Tuesday after reportedly fainting in the dressing room during the break of Argentina's friendly match against Nigeria.

Aguero subsequently returned to City for further medical checks and has now been given the all-clear to feature in the game at Leicester City on Saturday afternoon.

"He arrived two days ago and he met with the doctor, he's perfect," Guardiola told reporters today. "He was conscious all the time with Argentina and he's okay, nothing to worry about."

Aguero's latest hospitalisation came less than two months after the striker suffered a broken rib during a car crash in Amsterdam.
