Lyon comfortably beat Nice in Ligue 1.

Lyon have comfortably defeated Nice 3-0 in Ligue 1 to put the pressure on Paris Saint-Germain at the top.

Nice started brightly with a couple of close offside calls going against them and a shot wide by Thimothee Kolodzieczak when well-placed.

Lyon started to build some pressure and Anthony Reveillere shot wide after a series of corners.

Lopez was the first to hit the target, but he could not beat the goalkeeper with his 23rd-minute strike.

Their pressure eventually paid five minutes before the break with the strikers combining for Lopez to net the opener.

Anthony Reveillere netted 10 minutes into the second half and from then on it was plain sailing for the Ligue 1 challengers.

In the 74th minute David Ospina was shown a straight red for a foul in the box and Bafetimbi Gomis buried the penalty for a comfortable 3-0 lead.
