Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly willing to listen to offers for Ruben Neves amid speculation about a potential summer move to Liverpool.

Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly prepared to listen to offers for Liverpool target Ruben Neves.

Liverpool will need to strengthen their midfield this summer, with Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain set to leave the club when their contracts expire at the end of the season.

There is also uncertainty surrounding the future of James Milner, who is also out of contract in June, but the Reds could decide to offer the 37-year-old a new deal.

While Jude Bellingham is believed to be Liverpool's primary target, however, they will face competition for his signature from a number of Europe's biggest clubs.

A recent report claimed that the Merseyside club were on the verge of agreeing a deal for Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch, while Mason Mount has also been linked with a move to the Reds.

Neves is also believed to be on Liverpool's radar, and it appears that the door has been opened to a summer transfer.

According to The Mirror, Wolves are resigned to losing one of their key players at the end of the current campaign.

The 26-year-old has entered the final 18 months of his contract and is yet to put pen to paper on a new deal.

As a result, Wolves will reluctantly listen to offers for the Portugal international, who could command a fee in the region of £50m.

Man United have also been linked with Neves, but there is a belief that Wolves would rather sell him to a club abroad than a fellow Premier League side.

Such a stance could pave the way for La Liga giants Barcelona and Real Madrid, who have both been credited with showing an interest.

If Neves is unable to secure a move away this summer, he would likely agree a new deal, to prevent Wolves from losing him on a free transfer in 2024 due to the excellent relationship between the player and club.

Neves, who has captained the side in a number of games this term, has started 27 of Wolves' 28 Premier League games in the 2022-23 campaign, chipping in with five goals.

After losing 4-2 at home to Leeds United on Saturday, Wolves head into the international break in 13th place - three points above the relegation zone.
