RB Leipzig are reportedly preparing a second bid for Liverpool attacker Fabio Carvalho, with the Bundesliga outfit's first offer of over £10m being rejected last month.

RB Leipzig are reportedly prepared to table an improved bid for Liverpool attacker Fabio Carvalho, with the German club's initial offer being rejected last month.

The 20-year-old made the switch from Fulham to Anfield last summer but has failed to cement himself as a key player in Jurgen Klopp's side, starting just four matches in the Premier League this season.

A move to Merseyside was earned off the back of an impressive campaign as part of a Cottagers team which cantered to the Championship title in the 2021-22 term - the Portuguese youngster scored 10 goals and provided eight assists for Marco Silva's men that year.

According to Football Insider, RB Leipzig are preparing a second bid for Carvalho as they look to bring the attacker to the Bundesliga, with their first offer of over £10m being rejected in May.

The report claims that the Liverpool hierarchy do not wish to sell Carvalho this summer and would prefer the player to move out on loan for a season, with the likes of West Ham United, Brentford and Burnley interested in such an arrangement.

However, it is believed that a temporary move to sides who could be fighting relegation in the Premier League is not favoured by Carvalho, with the attacker preferring a switch to Leipzig where he could play Champions League football.

It is understood that Carvalho has already been told by Liverpool boss Klopp had he is not part of his plans in the first team for next season, meaning a departure from the club - whether that be permanent or temporary - is likely.
