Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is the bookmakers' new favourite to be the next Premier League manager to depart at odds of 7/4.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has become the bookmakers' new favourite to be the next Premier League manager to leave following the sacking of Jose Mourinho.

Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Mourinho previously topped the list, but the 58-year-old was relieved of his duties by the Lilywhites on Monday morning.

Klopp has endured a testing campaign with his side sixth in the Premier League table - already relinquishing their title - and the German boss voiced his disapproval of plans for a European Super League after his side's 1-1 draw with Leeds United on Monday.

Now, BetVictor have the Reds manager down at 7/4 to leave the club, with Newcastle United's Steve Bruce and Sheffield United's Paul Heckingbottom close behind on odds of 6/1.

Klopp has won just one of his last four games across all competitions with the Reds, who were also eliminated from the Champions League at the hands of Real Madrid in the quarter-finals.

Liverpool midfielder James Milner also raised concerns over the prospect of a breakaway Super League, but neither he nor Klopp had their comments published on Liverpool's official website.
