Ian Rush: 'Liverpool can still win Premier League title'

Liverpool legend Ian Rush claims that six points from their last two games will see the Reds crowned as champions.

Liverpool legend Ian Rush believes that two wins from their remaining games will see the Reds crowned as champions.

The Anfield outfit are currently top of the Premier League, but Manchester City's game in hand means that Manuel Pellegrini's side have the advantage due to a significantly better goal difference.

However, former striker Rush has claimed that victories over Crystal Palace and Newcastle United will be enough for the Reds to win their first title since 1990.

He told the Liverpool Echo: "We can get to 86 points and I believe 86 points will be enough to win the league.

"Being back in the Champions League next season is a big thing for Liverpool but I still believe we can win the title."

Brendan Rodgers's side travel to Selhurst Park to face Palace on Monday.
