Mane: Salah enjoying

Sadio Mane insists that he is more than happy to continue supplying Mohamed Salah with assists as he 'loves' being in the same side as the Egyptian forward.

Liverpool star Sadio Mane has opened up on his prolific partnership with Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino, which he puts down to a close friendship between the trio.

Eighty goals have been netted by the Reds' triumvirate in all competitions so far this season, the majority of which have been scored by Salah.

No Premier League player has laid on more assists for a single teammate than Mane has for Salah, setting up his teammate six times, and the Senegal international admits that his fellow forward is enjoying a season to remember in front of goal.

"For me, it is something incredible," he told reporters. "Mo is always like this, even in training, it is normal for us. We try to help him score more goals, it is better for us.

"I think the secret is that we are close friends with each other. I always love to play alongside these great players because we understand each other so well.

"We try to move for each other. It gets easier for us the more we train together and the more we know each other. It is great fun to have players like Mo and Roberto near me. It is always enjoyable. I am always happy to give an assist to my friend.

"You can see it on the pitch. I always look for Mo and Roberto and they always look for me. I think this makes us a better team."

Salah is four goals shy of Ian Rush's single-season record of 47 for the Merseyside outfit.
