Jurgen Klopp says that "it is not completely unlikely" that Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane will return to his starting lineup for Liverpool's trip to Stoke City.

Jurgen Klopp has suggested that Sadio Mane is in line to return to Liverpool's side to face Stoke City at the bet365 Stadium on Wednesday night.

The Senegal international was visibly upset at being overlooked for selection against Chelsea last time out, exchanging words with his manager at the full-time whistle following a cameo appearance from the bench.

Roberto Firmino was also left out of the starting lineup at the weekend, with Klopp opting to rotate his squad during the busiest period of the campaign, but the 50-year-old appears ready to recall both men alongside star player Mohamed Salah.

"We had to make a few changes, it makes absolute sense at this part of the season to use the strength of the squad," he told reporters. "We had to leave a few out and that is what we did. It is not completely unlikely that they will start [against Stoke]."

Mane has insisted that he has "no problem" with Klopp after being snubbed for the vital clash with Chelsea, which finished all square at Anfield.
