Dougie Imrie hails Hamilton Academical's "massive achievement"

Dougie Imrie says that Hamilton Academical's main target is still to remain in the Scottish Premiership, despite seeing his side move top of the table this afternoon.

Dougie Imrie has hailed Hamilton Academical's "massive achievement" after seeing his side defeat champions Celtic to climb to the top of the Scottish Premiership table.

A second-half strike from Ali Crawford proved the difference at Celtic Park this afternoon as the Accies claimed a shock 1-0 victory.

"To come to Celtic Park and go top of the league is a massive achievement," the 31-year-old striker told BBC Sport. "Celtic put us under pressure, but you have to expect that.

"We have got some great players here and hopefully we can keep hold of them. The main target is to stay in this league and, if anything else is achieved, so much the better."

Hamilton return to action with a home match against Aberdeen following the two-week international break.
