Granada stay in La Liga relegation zone with goalless draw against Eibar

Granada remain in the La Liga relegation zone following a 0-0 draw against Eibar.

The La Liga clash between Granada and Eibar finished goalless as both teams found it difficult to breach the opposition's defence throughout the match.

The match was a scrappy affair for the first 20 minutes, with a number of fouls committed by both teams.

Ruben Perez wasted a chance for Granada in the 17th minute, shooting wide of the target from long range.

Adrian Colunga then had a chance to break the deadlock two minutes later, but his shot from inside the penalty area was straight at the goalkeeper before a second effort was blocked by a defender.

Piti then directed the ball narrowly wide of the left post, before Jhon Cordoba had two chances go wide of the net on the verge of half time.

Eibar had the first chance of the second half when Manu del Moral's shot was saved by Oier Olazabal, diving low to his left to keep the scores level.

Allan Nyom was denied a goal in the 68th minute when his shot was blocked after a skilful dribble into the penalty area.

Javier Marquez then narrowly missed the net from the edge of the penalty area five minutes later as Granada pushed for a late winner.

Granada remain two points from safety, while Eibar sit in 14th in the La Liga table.
