Darren Bent expects Fulham to push on

Darren Bent expects Fulham to enjoy a successful season following Tuesday's win over Everton in the Capital One Cup.

Fulham striker Darren Bent has claimed that there is no reason why the team cannot enjoy a successful season following their win over Everton in the third round of the Capital One Cup.

The loan signing from Aston Villa came off the bench at Craven Cottage on Tuesday night to score the decisive goal in the 2-1 victory.

"There's no reason why we can't go on and have a really good season," Bent told the club's official website. "We'll take great confidence from that performance and now it's all about Cardiff [City] on Saturday.

"You never want to go into a home game having lost your last one so we've got the win and we go from there."

Fulham are currently in 18th place in the Premier League table.
