Scottish League One roundup: Greenock Morton go top

Sports Mole rounds up Tuesday night's action in Scottish League One as Greenock Morton move to the top of the table with a 4-0 win over Stirling Albion.

A hat-trick from Stefan McCluskey has helped Greenock Morton move to the top of the Scottish League One table with a 4-0 victory over Stirling Albion.

After netting before half time, McCluskey struck twice more after the break before Declan McManus capped an impressive display with a fourth eight minutes from time.

Stranraer have dropped into second place after a Josh Watt strike gave struggling Stenhousemuir a 1-0 win, while Brechin City were held to a 1-1 draw by Dunfermline Athletic.

The other game of the night saw Ayr United and Peterhead share the spoils in a six-goal thriller, with Ayr's Jordan Preston netting an equaliser two minutes from time after Peterhead had fought from behind to lead with four minutes to go.
