Former Wigan Athletic midfielder Routledge, who arrived at the club in July, is named in the side for the visit of James Fowler's men, although fellow summer signing Calum Waters is forced to settle for a place on the bench.

Meanwhile, the visitors, who are looking to maintain their unbeaten start to the new campaign, have made two changes to their side.

New signings Darren Brownlie and Alex Harris are selected at the expense of Lewis Kidd and Dale Hilson.
