Preview: Derby County vs. Crystal Palace

Sports Mole previews Friday's Championship meeting between Derby County and Crystal Palace at Pride Park.

Ahead of their clash with Crystal Palace at Pride Park on Friday night, only five Championship teams have picked up fewer points than Derby County over the last six rounds of matches.

Nigel Clough's side have only amassed six points from a possible 18 and haven't won a league match in their last five attempts.

While the records show that they have not been beaten at home in five encounters, three of those have ended in draws.

Connor Sammon is expected to keep his place in attack for the visit of Palace, while defender Jake Buxton could also come into the starting lineup.

In contrast to Derby, Ian Holloway's Palace are still in contention for promotion. The Eagles have picked up 20 points from a possible 51 on the road up until this point.

Wilfried Zaha could return to the team along with experienced striker Kevin Phillips, who has spent a lot of time on the bench since his January arrival from Blackpool.
