Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech admits that he would welcome Jose Mourinho back to the club.

Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech has revealed that he would be open to the idea of Jose Mourinho returning to the club next season.

Interim boss Rafa Benitez will depart the Blues at the end of the season, with Real Madrid boss Mourinho linked with a move to Stamford Bridge.

"We had fantastic success with him, so why not? He is a fantastic manager. Of course the fans sing his name. Jose Mourinho did a fantastic job for the club and people loved him, so he rightly deserved that," he told the Daily Star.

"This is the way it should be, the fans should pay their respect for the players and ex-players who come here to the Bridge."
