Chelsea manager Rafael Benitez insists that striker Romelu Lukaku should remain at West Bromwich Albion for the remainder of the season.

Chelsea manager Rafael Benitez believes that Romelu Lukaku would play more games if he remained at West Bromwich Albion rather returning to Chelsea in January.

The 19-year-old has impressed for Albion this season to help them to fifth place in the Premier League table and Benitez has admitted that the Belgian forward should continue his development at The Hawthorns.

Benitez said: "We know Romelu has been doing very well for West Brom.

"But it's maybe best for him to stay there where he is playing games for now, as it will be better for his future development."

Lukaku has scored five goals in 12 appearances for the Baggies this season.
