Half-Time Report: Cardiff City, West Bromwich Albion goalless at half time

Cardiff City and West Bromwich Albion play out a goalless first half in the Premier League.

Cardiff City and West Bromwich Albion are goalless at the half-time interval in the Premier League.

Both sides struggled to create anything of note during the first 45 minutes but Chris Brunt came close with a free kick on 37 minutes, but his goal-bound effort was cleared by Stephen Caulker.

There was plenty of endeavour on show during the half, but in truth there was little quality in front of goal from either side.

The Bluebirds delivered plenty of crosses into the Baggies penalty area, and Frazier Campbell nearly got on the end of Peter Odemwingie's excellent delivery at the end of the half, but he could not quite reach the centre.
