Sean Dyche has "total belief" in Burnley's bid for safety

Sean Dyche insists that he has "total belief" in the Burnley squad as they battle to stay in the Premier League.

Burnley manager Sean Dyche has insisted that his side have what it takes to collect the points required to avoid relegation from the Premier League.

The Clarets currently sit 18th in the table with eight games remaining in the campaign, but Dyche claims that his confidence in the squad will not change as the pressure grows in the run-in.

"I have total belief we will be in the Premier League," the Burnley boss told reporters. "I didn't have a points target in mind, there will be a millions statisticians coming out with different outcomes.

"I'd have wanted to be higher up the table of course, but at game 10 when we were written off.

"There are eight games and there's no slowing down. We'll be training equally as hard."

Burnley host Tottenham Hotspur at Turf Moor on Sunday afternoon.
