Half-Time Report: Leonardo Ulloa gives Brighton & Hove Albion the lead over Hull City

Brighton & Hove Albion hold a 1-0 half-time lead over Hull City in their FA Cup encounter, thanks to a strike from Leonardo Ulloa.

Brighton & Hove Albion hold a 1-0 half-time lead over Hull City in the FA Cup this evening, thanks to a strike from Leonardo Ulloa.

Stephen Quinn went close for Hull early on, as he headed wide having been picked out by Ahmed Elmohamady's cross.

Jake Forster-Caskey should have put the hosts ahead when he was found by Inigo Calderon, but he sent his shot over the crossbar.

Elmohamady looked threatening again as he sent in a cross for Yannick Sagbo, who caught the ball perfectly only to see his right-footed effort cannon back off the bar.

Albion made Hull pay in the 30th minute as Will Buckley broke away on the counter, leaving the winger to feed Ulloa, who neatly converted with his right from the centre of the box.

Hull thought they had responded not too long after the goal, but Curtis Davies smashed his header against the crossbar, leaving Brighton to hold the advantage at half time.
