Preview: Brentford vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers

Sports Mole looks ahead to Saturday's Championship meeting between Brentford and Wolves, the two sides who were automatically promoted from League One last season.

Two sides in contrasting form meet at Griffin Park on Saturday afternoon as on-fire Brentford welcome out-of-sorts Wolverhampton Wanderers to Griffin Park.

Home side Brentford have won four games in a row - the longest active winning streak in the Championship - to climb up to fifth in the table. They are just one point off second and four adrift of league leaders Derby County.

Mark Warburton's side looked on course for defeat against fellow West Londoners Fulham on Friday night until a pair of late goals saw them claim a 2-1 victory and maintain their excellent run of form.

Their recent record against Wolves, who they were automatically-promoted with from League One last season, isn't good though.

They have failed to score in four of the last five games against the Black Country side and were beaten 3-0 in their last meeting back in February.

Wolves enter the match on a three-game losing streak and have conceded eight goals without reply in the two most recent defeats to East Midlands duo Derby County and Nottingham Forest.

That has seen them drop down to 11th in the table and they're now eight points behind pacesetters Derby after being right at the top themselves for much of the season's opening three months.

The club's top scorer Bakary Sako is without a goal in Wolves' recent four-game winless spell, but will hope that a pair of crystal boots to mark his 100th appearance for the club can help him find the net again.

Kenny Jackett is likely to be without centre-back Ethan Ebanks-Landell and that has caused the early recall of youngster Kortney Hause from Gillingham.

Brentford:

Recent form: DLWWWW

Possible starting lineup: Button; Bidwell, Craig, Dean, Douglas, Odubajo, Toral, Judge, Gray, Diagouraga, Pritchard

Wolves:

Recent form: WWDLLL

Possible starting lineup: Ikeme; Doherty, Batth, Stearman, Ricketts; McDonald, Rowe; Henry, Edwards, Sako; Graham

Sports Mole says: 2-2
