Alberto Gilardino scores his 150th league goal as Bologna complete a 4-0 rout against Catania.

Alberto Gilardino passed a personal milestone as Bologna thrashed Catania in a mid-table battle.

Tiberio Guarente put the home side ahead on 19 minutes with an emphatic volley for his first Serie A goal in over two years.

Gilardino got in on the act before half time when he latched on to a measured cross from Gyorgy Garics to score his 150th Serie A goal.

The Italian international striker made it four goals in six games this season on the hour when he met an Alessandro Diamanti cross with a fine header.

Panagiotis Kone added some shine to the scoreline with a fourth goal in stoppage time to earn Bologna their second win of the season.
