Carlos Tevez: 'My future is undecided'

Boca Juniors forward Carlos Tevez admits that he could move to China at the start of 2017, but is also considering retiring from the game.

Carlos Tevez has suggested that he could move to the Chinese Super League at the start of 2017, but is also considering the possibility of retiring from professional football.

The Argentine international returned to Boca Juniors in July 2015 and it had been thought that the 32-year-old would hang up his boots after representing the side for a second time.

However, it has been reported that super-rich Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua want to make Tevez the best-paid player in the world, with their president Wu Xiaohui claiming earlier this week that there had been a breakthrough in negotiations.

Tevez has revealed that his immediate focus is on Boca's derby against River Plate and will make a decision on his future over the next few weeks.

"Right now I am only thinking about the Superclasico. I've got too much going on to think about the offer from China. First come River, then Colon, then I am getting married," Tevez told reporters. "I will think it over in the [Argentine summer] break. I might not just leave, I could also retire from football."

Tevez, whose former clubs include West Ham United, Manchester United, Manchester City and Juventus, is contracted to Boca until the summer of 2018.
