Carlos Tevez in line to become world's best-paid player?

A club in the Chinese Super League is reportedly prepared to make Carlos Tevez the best-paid player in the world.

An unnamed club in the Chinese Super League have reportedly signalled their intent to make Carlos Tevez the best-paid player in the world.

It had previously been claimed that Tevez would like to spend the remainder of his career with Boca Juniors, and that continued to be the case as he rejected a lucrative offer to sign for Shanghai SIPG earlier this year.

However, according to Yahoo Sports Brazil, another club in China's top flight are prepared to offer the 32-year-old as much as €40m (£34m) per season in order to move to Asia.

If accepted, that would see Tevez earn more money than the likes of Lionel Messi and Neymar at Barcelona.

Tevez has been back in his homeland Argentina since signing for Boca from Juventus in June 2015.
