Preview: Birmingham City vs. Ipswich Town

Sports Mole looks ahead to the Championship encounter on Tuesday night as Ipswich Town travel to Birmingham City.

After ending a 10-month wait for a home league win, Birmingham City can make it two in a row if they put Ipswich Town to the sword on Tuesday night.

The Blues recovered from an opening-day defeat at Middlesbrough with a slim victory over Brighton & Hove Albion at St Andrew's on Saturday.

They now face an Ipswich side who have been knocked out of the Capital One Cup and lost for the first time in the league this season at Reading over the weekend.

Brum boss Lee Clark should be able to include David Davis and Lee Novak in his starting lineup, despite both picking up knocks in the win over Brighton.

For the visitors, Mick McCarthy could choose Paul Anderson over Elliot Hewitt on the right of midfield, while Jonathan Parr is pushing to make his full debut at left-back.

Ipswich are unbeaten in five games against Birmingham, claiming victory by one goal to nil in their last meeting in March.
