Vicente Iborra confident of Europa League upset

Sevilla midfielder Vicente Iborra is confident that his side can surprise Benfica in the final of the Europa League this week.

Sevilla midfielder Vicente Iborra is confident that his side can surprise Benfica in the final of the Europa League this week.

The Iberian rivals meet in the conclusion of the tournament on Wednesday and while Iborra has hinted that Benfica are the favourites, he is confident that an upset will occur in Turin.

"Any final opponent is always difficult. But they are a team who have won their league and could finish with four titles this year, and they will make it very tough for us," he told Goal.com.

"They have a great history and were in the Champions League this season, but will we do our best to surprise them.

"We are thrilled to be in the final. We know it's a special competition for this club and this city, and this is a big moment for the players who have come here in the hope of repeating our recent successes."

Sevilla overcame Valencia in the semi-finals, while Benfica beat Juventus over two legs.
