Pep Guardiola: 'Kingsley Coman is a rare talent'

Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola hails 19-year-old winger Kingsley Coman as a special talent.

Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola has said that on-loan Juventus winger Kingsley Coman is a rare talent and admits that he has been impressed by how the teenager has adapted to life with the German champions.

Coman joined Bayern on a two-year loan deal from last season's Serie A winners in the summer, with an option to make the move permanent for an extra €21m (£15m) once the temporary move expires, and the winger has scored four goals in 13 appearances so far during his time in Germany.

Guardiola described the ease with which the France international has settled at the Allianz Arena as "madness" but insisted that the hype surrounding the teenager should be kept under control.

"You always expect the best when you sign a new player, but you also have in the back of your mind that he might need some time," he told reporters.

"But it is madness how fast Kingsley has integrated at Bayern. He is still young, so we should not get carried away. He still has plenty of room for improvement, but it is clear that he has a lot of potential.

"He has rare dribbling skills that you do not see very often, but his final ball, giving assists, that is where he can still improve. But he is still very young and I have only ever worked with one player who could do it all at such a young age."

Coman is expected to feature when Bayern travel to face Borussia Mochengladbach in the Bundesliga on Saturday.
