Pep Guardiola: 'Sebastian Kehl should shut up'

Pep Guardiola tells Borussia Dortmund midfielder Sebastian Kehl to "shut up" after he joked about Bayern Munich's struggles from the penalty spot.

Pep Guardiola has told Borussia Dortmund midfielder Sebastian Kehl to "shut up" after he made jokes at Bayern Munich's expense earlier this week.

Kehl commented that Bayern needed to "practise penalties" after they missed all four spot kicks in the DFB-Pokal semi-final loss to Dortmund on Tuesday night, and his comments encouraged Guardiola to offer some advice.

"My advice for Sebastian Kehl is, if you have a 35-point deficit in the league, it is better to shut up," the Bayern boss, who claimed that his side should have been awarded two penalties before the shootout, told reporters.

"We now have time to exercise because we have already won the Bundesliga.

"I have never sought to blame others when we lost to Dortmund even though this time I had two good reasons to say something. But I congratulated Jurgen Klopp on reaching the final. I never laugh at anyone, even when we win."

Bayern visit Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday before meeting Barcelona in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final on Tuesday night.
