Bernd Leno rules out Bayer Leverkusen departure

Young goalkeeper Bernd Leno is not planning to leave Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen anytime soon.

Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper Bernd Leno has insisted that he has no intention of leaving the German club.

The 22-year-old's recent performances have seen his name linked with a host of European teams, with some speculation having suggested that a move could materialise during the January transfer window.

However, the Germany Under-21 international has revealed that he is planning to see out his contract at the BayArena.

"A transfer? I'm fine here. My contract will expire in 2018, and this is a great club. I want to stay here as much as possible," he told reporters.

Leno joined Leverkusen from Stuttgart back in 2011.
